An evil villain is standing high above in his floating citadel of death.
He is plotting to destroy your land, so what do you do?
Make a plushie that looks like him and hit it with a stick of course!
Lord Kass is Darigan’s right hand man. When his master was defeated during the Meridell and Darigan war, Kass slowly took control of the Darigan Citadel and built an army that he used to antagonize Meridell over the ensuing years.
Naturally, the citizens of Meridell created a game in which they could pour out all of their anger towards Lord Kass without any of the repercussions of doing so. This game came to be known as Whack-A-Kass.
To play Whack-A-Kass, you may either use your mouse or keyboard. Only the left mouse button or space bar is needed.
When the game first starts, a user should take note of a few key things.
The first thing is the Kass plushie sitting on the tree branch. This is what you will be whacking throughout the game.
Second is the Blumaroo (that’s you) at the base of the tree standing poised with an instrument ready to whack.
The third and perhaps most important thing can be found in the bottom left corner of the game screen. This is a gauge: Wind: *a number* Meters/Second. Wind speed is one of the main determining factors as to how far your Kass plushie gets whacked, and therefore how many points you are awarded for that hit. The number of the wind speed can range anywhere from -9 to 9 Meters per Second.

A player should observe the wind speed displayed on the bottom of their game screen. The higher the wind speed, the better and farther the plushie will be whacked. With 9 being the highest wind speed, 9 Meters/Second should be the wind speed that is shown on the screen before clicking either you mouse button or spacebar to launch the Kass. The wind is also shown by the flag on the branch.
The plushie falls quickly and the best time to hit is is when it is just above the Blumaroo's ears. Any lower and the plushie will fly horizontally through the air and your score will be low. Trying to hit Kass too high or too low will result in missing him entirely.
When you click to hit the Kass, continue to hold the button or spacebar. This will keep the wings of Kass next to him and he will sail upwards. Release your click when Kass is horizontal and at the top of his arc. His wings will be released and he will flap to further his distance.
Lastly, when Kass comes into contact with the ground the mouse button should also be clicked. This is to help Kass bounce and in turn gain more distance. Every time he touches the ground, the mouse should be clicked, until he starts dragging across the ground at which point the button should be held.
Level 1
Bread: A new player at Whack-A-Kass only has the option of using bread to whack his or her Kass plushie. If a player successfully hits their plushie 175 meters away from their starting tree, a new level will be unlocked.
Level 2
Stick: During this level, Kass is whacked with a stick. The last level can be unlocked by achieving a hit of 450 meters.
Level 3
Bat: Whacking the plushie a far distance is easier to achieve with a better bat; bread being the worst kind, and a bat being the best.
The tree as a bat: Even though it is a very rare random event, you can get the tree behind the Blumaroo as a bat to whack Kass with. When you give it a good whack with the tree it's almost impossible to not get an amazing score and to not get on the high score list.
Secret: Once you get to the third level and hit Kass around 800 meters, look for a little rock on the ground. If you put your mouse over it, it will turn into a hand. Click on the rock. The following several times you whack Kass, a little Drackonack will come out and measure the distance rather than the Turtum.
Rumor: It is unverified, but hitting Kass over longer distances may unlock bonus levels.
Achieving a score of 850+ will net the avatar.
A minimum high score of 1,183 is needed to gain the high score table.
