In this game you play Brucey B.  Tap the keys to pull your opponent into the river!!!  Can you defeat the mysterious Jetsam and collect all the passwords?  Good luck!

Even though the Lost Desert is a hot place, this is the one time you don't want to cool off!  In this game, it's your goal to pull the opponent into the river before they can do the same to you!  To pull on the rope, two letter keys must be pushed in rapid succession.

The letter combinations are: X and C, C and V, B and N, and N and M. At the top of the screen there will be two letters that need to be pushed to pull the rope.  The letter combination that will appear is completely random.  If you play in two player, only the first player's controls will be randomized, and player two will have < and >.

During the game, clouds will randomly appear at the top of the screen with three letters in them.  The only three letters that will appear for you to press are Q, W, and E.  Each cloud will have a random jumble of these letters in them.  Quickly press the three keys before the opponent has a chance to.  If you aren't fast enough, the cloud will disappear, and you'll have to wait for another to come.  Don't push them too fast, because if you mess up even once, you will not be able to try again until another appears.  Once all three keys are pressed, a curse will be placed on the opponent, and they will not be able to move for a few seconds.  When a character is cursed, ducks will appear over their head.  Remember, your opponent can also curse you!

A round is completed by pulling the opponent into the water. Each time a round is completed points are awarded. Up to 40 bonus points can be awarded depending on how fast the round was completed.  The faster it's completed, the more bonus points will be received.  One point is awarded for every second under forty left after winning.  For example, if it takes you 10 seconds to win, you'll get 30 bonus points.

There are a total of eighteen rounds and six opponents.  That means that if the game is completed, you will have played against all of the opponents three times.  Each opponent is harder than the one before it.  The first level features 6 opponents. After all of the opponents have been defeated, you proceed to the next level. The second level has the same 6 opponents as the first, except this time they're harder to beat. The third level also has the same 6 opponents, but they will be even harder to beat than both of the previous levels.

Theibos depends on his good looks and charm to distract opponents. His lack of strength makes him easy to defeat.

Khadir may have heft on his side, but his attention wanders, making him almost as easy to tug as Theibos.

Ramset attempts to cast her wizardly spell over the rope to do the work for her. Her spells are nearly as weak as she  is.

Horak is the first relatively hard opponent, possibly because he is a notorious cheater. Watch out for greased ropes when facing this opponent.

Truggdon's brute strength and piercing red glare work together to make him a formidable opponent.

This mysterious Jetsam is the hardest opponent to beat. His strength is equally matched with his speed.

The game is divided into three different levels, although not specified in the game.  Level one is the first six rounds.  When level two begins, you will start Round Seven, facing Theibos, who is much stronger and faster this time around.  The only difference between levels is that all the opponents will be harder to defeat, they can type the letters in the clouds MUCH faster, and the sky turns a different color to signify morning changing to evening.  Level three begins in Round Thirteen, facing Theibos for the last time.

Once you defeat the mysterious Jetsam in Round Eighteen, the game will be over and you can send your score!  Be wary though… that Jetsam just HATES to lose.

Though there is no advantage to it, you can also play as an additional four different characters simply for a change of pace. Passwords are needed to unlock the characters.

Tips to Win

  • Try to pull the rope with just one hand using your index and middle fingers so the other hand is free for typing in the cloud letters.
  • If your hand gets tired, switch to the other or try using both.
  • ALWAYS go for the clouds.
  • Take advantage of the few seconds an opponent is cursed to put on a burst of speed and tug them as far as possible.
