Jellies come down the conveyor belt. Blue jellies go in the Blue vat.
Red jellies go in the Red vat. Green jellies, yes no prizes for
guessing where they go, the green vat.
It's not a fun job, but somebody's got to do it.
At the Jelly Factory the Buzz Foreman takes great pride in making sure that the
Jelly is of top quality, and that is where the Skeith comes in - he gets to eat all the other
food (ice-cream!) that makes its way down the conveyor belt.
Help the Buzz Foreman sort the jellies from the desserts and then drop them into the matching vat. Use the arrow keys to move him around and press the Space Bar to pick up and drop the jellies. The Skeith will eat the desserts, but if a dessert is accidentally dropped into a jelly vat you will lose a life.
All of the food items are brought onto the screen by a conveyor belt. However, the items cannot be moved by the Buzz Foreman until they reach the active conveyor belt. Once the items reach the active conveyor belt determine which items must be placed into the vat and which items items must be fed to the Skeith.
If an item that should be placed into a vat is accidentally fed to the Skeith you will lose a life and the Skeith will have a reaction. The following items are the only items that can be placed into each specific vat:
The red pepper is worth 3 points and must be placed in the red vat. It will cause the Skeith to breath fire.
The blue jelly is worth 5 points and must be placed in the blue vat. It will cause the Skeith to have indigestion.
This is worth 8 points and must be placed in the green vat. It will cause the Skeith to have green bubbles come out of its mouth.
The items that can be eaten by the Skeith are as follows:
Accidentally dropping one of the Skeith’s desserts into a jelly vat will result in losing a life. Only five lives are given throughout the entire game, so be careful!
The game is broken up into levels. The speed of the conveyor belt increases as levels increase making it harder to sort the food quickly. The amount of items required to drop into the vats also increases by level. The number of items required for each level is:
Level 1 – 5 items
Level 2 – 10 items
Level 3 – 15 items
Level 4 – 20 items
Level 5 – 25 items
Level 6 – 30 items
Level 7 – 35 items
Level 8 – 40 items
Level 9 – 45 items
Level 10 – 50 items
It’s possible to delay the items by taking them off the active conveyor belt and placing them back at the upcoming foods area. This does indeed delay them, but it will make it more difficult later and it wastes time. It’s better to stay away from this delaying method.
The only time this delaying method may be beneficial is during the first few levels if you are trying to get the avatar. In that case, use this method to delay the red and blue items and focus on putting the green items in the correct vat. They are worth the most points and will get the highest possible score. Only do this on the first three levels or so.
Many people have difficulties getting the item to the correct vat quickly. Taking too much time could easily cause you to lose a life, especially when the conveyor belt gets faster in later levels. Knowing exactly what to press to get to each vat will allow you to sort items much more efficiently.
Once the item has been picked up and the Buzz Foreman is at the active conveyor belt press the following keys to get to the correct vat:
Red Vat – Press the up arrow key once, press the space bar, and then press the down arrow key.
Blue Vat – Press the up arrow key once, press the right arrow key, press the space bar, and then press the down arrow key.
Green Vat – Press the up arrow key once, press the right arrow key two times, press the space bar, and then press the down arrow key.
Tips to Win:
- Practice a lot in order to memorize the keys to press to get to the specific vats. It will benefit you greatly.
- There’s no pause button, but in between levels there is a break. It will ask you to, Press space bar to continue. You can take as much time as you’d like during this period before moving on to the next level.
- Be very cautious for the first few levels. The conveyor belt may move slowly, but if you’re careless you may make silly mistakes and lose a life. You’ll need all the lives you can get later on.
Normally a score of 1,280 or higher will get you a trophy. There is also an avatar available for this game that can be acquired by scoring 1000 points or more.
