Neopians have been playing with cute little figurines for ages, completely oblivious of the dark secrets behind their production...
Working for a living is never easy, especially when your job is making toys for Dr. Sloth at Krelufun Industries. More toys have been sold than the factory can produce, so it is your job to help fill the order. If you can’t fill that order you might be out of a job. Drop the different coloured blobs into the matching coloured vats at the bottom of the screen. Collect a supply of colours to create the required plushies shown in the bottom right hand corner of the gamescreen.
The first and foremost thing is to look at the colour of plushie that needs to be created. To figure out what plushie needs to be made, look at the bottom right hand corner. It shows the colour of the plushie and how many are needed to be made of that particular colour. The number above the plushie indicates how many are needed before moving onto the next one. At the top of the screen, there are a bunch of different coloured blobs flying around. Using the left mouse button, click on each blob to drop it into the matching vat so plushies can be created. When there is no more white in the meters found in the middle of a vat, that particular vat is full. A full vat will make 3 plushies. If blobs are still dropped into a full vat, the vat will start to splash and the Waste Meter will start to rise. Dropping the wrong colour into a vat will cause the vat to empty and the Waste Meter to rise. Once the Waste Meter gets to the top, it’s game over! If the Waste Meter doesn't fill, the game will end when the time is up.
When there is enough goo in a vat, a toy will be made. The vat will empty, and need to be filled up again to create another toy. In the first level, there are three basic toy colors: Yellow toys , Red toys, and Blue toys. As the game progresses, more complicated colors pop up. Orange toys (made with red and yellow), Purple toys (made with red and blue), Green toys (made with yellow and blue), and Rainbow toys (made with all three colors). Watch out for the Grundo Thief; he'll try and steal from the production line. Click him to bump him on the head!
Freaky Factory can be a confusing game, as there are many different aspects to it. The gamescreen has many different features, most of which are listed below.

Score The current score in the game.
Time Remaining (clock) How much time is left to get the amount of toys needed.
Consecutive Bonus When toys are made one after another, bonus points are awarded. Combos, or bonuses, are when multiple plushies go through the conveyer. At the end when they get dropped off a bonus is awarded. The bonus is as follows: the first toy earns 1 point, the next 3, and then 6, 10, 15, 21, 28. The more toys out on the conveyer one after another, the better the bonus.
Conveyor Belt The completed toys travel on this to be shipped. This is where the Grundo Thief steals the toys.
Grundo Thief An evil grundo who tries to steal the completed toys. Click on him to make him go away.
Red, Yellow, and Blue Vats What blobs are dropped into to make toys. Yellow goes in yellow, red in red, blue in blue.
Good Blob Blobs that don’t have expressions on their faces (red, yellow, and blue). These are the ones that should be put into the vats.
Bad Blob Blobs that have expressions on their faces. If dropped in vats can cause the waste meter to fill up and vats to empty.
Number of Toys Made The number of toys made when enough Kreludite (what blobs create) is in the vats. The more toys to be made, the more Kreludite needed.
How Much Kreludite is Needed How full your vats need to be to make the toy(s).
Waste Meter How much waste made. Waste is created by making a blob fall to the ground, putting a bad blob in a vat, and putting a wrong colored blob in a wrong colored vat (ex. blue in yellow).
White Meter on Vats This shows how full the particular vat is. When a blob is dropped into it, each of the meters will go up. When the vat is full, there will be no more white in each of the meters.
In addition to the basic blobs, there are some blobs that will either help or hurt you.

Points
In Freaky Factory, points are awarded according to the species and the color of a plushie. The more colorful the plushie, and the bigger the size, the more points awarded when they are successfully moved to the end of the conveyer belt. Plushies are grouped into three main groups: Primary colors (yellow, red, and blue), Secondary colors (orange, purple, and green), and Rainbow. Rainbow plushies are worth more than Primary and Secondary colored plushies, and Secondary colored plushies are worth more than Primary colored plushies. When the Radioactive blob is used, it upgrades the plushie color using the point order; Primary becomes Secondary, and Secondary becomes Rainbow.

There are numerous levels in Freaky Factory, each getting progressively harder and harder, to provide a challenge to the players. Naturally the higher the level, the more toys that are required to be made to continue on to the next level. The amount of toys required increases by 3, then 2, then 3, and so on. So for example, in Level One, 10 toys are required to be made; for Level Two, 13 toys; for Level Three, 15 toys; and for Level Four 18 toys.
Tips to Win
- Playing the game in full screen mode makes the blobs appear larger. This helps to see which blob is which.
- If a blob lands on a plushie it will turn that plushie the same colour. It's only advised to do this if it will help gain more points, and there are no rainbow plushies on the conveyer.
- Always click the Grundo Thief as soon as soon as he is spotted.
- A falling blob that hits the Grundo Thief makes him disappear and not have the chance to steal your plushies. If you've been waiting for a long time for a certain colour, dropping a blob on his head can minimize the risk of missing one you may need.
- Fill up a vat even if it isn’t the color you need. You never know what color the next toy will be, and on some levels certain colors don’t show up as often.
- Listen to some upbeat music. It helps make the game more fun and relaxing.
- When going for the avatar, be patient. It takes a while to get that many points as well as a lot of patience and practise to get that good.
- If you try to click a blob and miss, don’t try to hit it again. Most of the time it will become waste.

A score of 1250+ is needed to get the avatar for this game. A score of 2,000+ will usually get you a trophy.
